This beautiful ginger likes full to half sun with well draining soils. It grows best in a sheltered position with very moist soils in summer and dry soils in winter, feed once a week in summer as these are very hungry plants. Usually flowering from August - October depending on climatic conditions. Vary in hardness due to position, with a heavy mulch in a sheltered south facing border you can get away ???with leaving them in the garden, otherwise treat them like dahlias and bring into a cool frost free environment in the winter
