This species seems to be the giant form of the normal C. spicata, getting to around 1.5m tall, unlike the normal 60/70cm. The 'Normal' C.spicata is normally produced in India from bulbs. Fully hardy loves full to half sun with well-draining soil. This species is ideal for anyone new to hardy tropicals as it grows very well each year and can be treated as a herbacous perennial.
