Musa sikkimensis 'Bengal Tiger', originates from Sikkim in India, a stunning banana plant which gradually develops stunning red striped variegation once the plant reaches approximately 1ft. The ultimate height  of this species is 4m with a spread of 2m in 3 years.

Thriving in a spot that receives full to half sun, this cool plant prefers well-draining soil but with plenty of water throughout the growing season. It withstands chilly temperatures down to around -2°C, so is best grown in a container brought into a frost free environment over winter. Do not water over winter, watering again in late Spring before moving back out for the growing season. Bengal Tiger has more varigation than red tiger.
