Musa sikkimensis 'Red Tiger', originates from Sikkim in India, a stunning banana plant which gradually develops stunning red striped variegation once the plant reaches approximately 1ft. The ultimate height  of this species is 4m with a spread of 2m in 3 years. 
 
Thriving in a spot that receives full to half sun, this cool plant prefers well-draining soil but with plenty of water throughout the growing season. It withstands chilly temperatures down to around -2°C, so is best grown in a container brought into a frost free environment over winter. Do not water over winter, watering again in late Spring before moving back out for the growing season.
